In Romeo and Juliet, Willam Shakespere uses metaphors in his plays to make them stand out.
As lady capulet tries to convice Juliet to marry Paris. She then describes Paris in a book for Juliet to read. “Find written in the margent of his eyes. This precious book of love, this unbound lover.”
What Lady Capulet is trying to say is that she is trying to suggest the benefits of marrying him.

Add Yours →Kyle, this is a good analysis of that metaphor. Can I ask you now to use the same approach to analyse the new metaphor I presented you with in class. You can go back to the class website to remind yourself of what that was: http://paradox.edutronic.net/2019/03/04/romeo-and-juliet-act-1-scene-2-metaphor/
