The book Quarantine is about a group of teenagers who are being quarantined because of a virus breakout in their school and the government puts them all in lockdown to stop them from spreading the virus to other people. But over time these teenagers go crazy, all of them are trying to escape and they are all fighting each other for supplies and survival. 

A character that I liked in the text was the main character David. I liked him because he was a strong minded character who was determined for survival for his friends. Throughout the whole book he takes care of his brother throughout all the tough times and is a character with strong love for his family members. I can relate to this as well because I also have a sister that I take care of as well throughout my life but I do not have the same situation with David because we are not quarantined in a school with other teenagers trying to kill us. This also relates to the real world because most people take care of their siblings because they are their loved ones too. Although there are people who do not care about their siblings most people do which is a good thing. 

A message I took from the text is to love your siblings no matter what and always be selfless. David is a selfless character in the book because he is doing as best he can to take care of his brother over himself. David is a good man and strong. This can also relate to the real world because there are some people who put their siblings first over themselves. For me I try to balance myself out with my siblings because I also have other things that I have to take care of in my life. 

A challenge a character had to deal with was David trying to keep alive in these situations

There are many situations in the book where David had almost died from different attacks and it was good that he was able to survive all of these. I thought that this was good from him that he kept alive from these attacks. This can also relate to the real world because there are times in the world where people have to try their best to keep alive during attacks. I personally have never been in a near death situation such as David which is good for me and I am grateful for that. 

I think the text title is good because the title fits well with the story. “Quarantine,” means to stay locked down in a particular area to stop a spread of a particular virus. In the story these teenagers are in lockdown in a school which means they are quarantined. I personally think this is a good text title and the author was very creative with this title. 

I would recommend this story to teenagers my age because this is a very good story and the book story would capture the attention of people my age I believe. This book is very action packed and has a lot of good content. I believe this book is very good for teenagers who are interested in books which have a lot of action and is really well planned.
