Global Warming and Climate Change

This article that I am writing about is on climate change and global warming and how it has affected our temperature rates and global changes throughout the year.

In this article it gives us proof that climate change and global warming is happening because it gives us numbers and data about what is happening globally. It states that sea levels have been rising throughout the years, hurricanes and other strong stormers are more likely to be stronger, less fresh water will be available to us etc. This is a worldwide problem because this is slowly draining our fresh water and water is very important to us for survival. If we do not have enough clean water we will be forced to use alternatives which cost a lot of money and take a lot of time. This is something government officials need to take into consideration because this could affect future generations very negatively.

Sea levels are expected to rise between 10 and 32 inches (26 and 82 centimeters) or higher by the end of the century.Hurricanes and other storms are likely to become stronger. Floods and droughts will become more common. Large parts of the U.S., for example, face a higher risk of decades-long “megadroughts” by 2100.Less freshwater will be available, since glaciers store about three-quarters of the world’s freshwater. Some diseases will spread, such as mosquito-borne malaria (and the 2016 resurgence of the Zika virus).Ecosystems will continue to change: Some species will move farther north or become more successful; others, such as polar bears, won’t be able to adapt and could become extinct.”

There have been many protests worldwide protesting against climate change and global warming. There have also been many organizations worldwide that have created charities to help fund against climate change and global warming. Global warming is true and is affecting our Earth each year and should be well taken care of by the government.

But what does this mean for me? I believe that this will not affect me negatively because it will still take some time until it gets really bad but future generations will definitely be affected by this because it will get worse and worse until it comes up to a point where it is no longer reversible. But I still believe that global warming and climate change is happening now because of all the stats and data the scientists have uncovered and it is definitely not looking good for future generations.
